Reuters hãng sản xuất màn hình BOE – Nhà cung cấp cho Apple muốn xây nhà máy ở Việt Nam
BOE – nhà sản xuất màn hình Trung Quốc BOE Technology Group là hãng sản xuất màn hình lớn nhất Trung Quốc tính theo sản lượng. Kuo Ming-chi – nhà phân tích tại TF International Securities dự báo BOE sẽ trở thành hãng cung cấp màn hình lớn nhất cho các mẫu iPhone mới năm 2024.

Theo nguồn tin của Reuters cho biết hãng sản xuất màn hình BOE Technology Group đang lên kế hoạch rót 400 triệu USD để xây 2 nhà máy ở Việt Nam.
BOE đang đàm phán thuê hàng chục hecta đất tại miền Bắc. Họ đã có một nhà máy nhỏ ở miền Nam, chủ yếu cung cấp màn hình cho Samsung và LG Electronics
BOE dự kiến thuê tới 100 hecta và sử dụng 20% diện tích này cho nhà máy sản xuất hệ thống điều khiển từ xa với chi phí 150 triệu USD. 50 hecta nữa sẽ dành để xây nhà máy sản xuất màn hình, với 250 triệu USD. Từ nay đến năm 2025, các nhà cung cấp của họ sẽ sử dụng 30 hecta đất còn lại.
BOE sẽ tập trung sản xuất màn hình OLED thay vì LCD tại nhà máy này. Apple gần đây sử dụng màn hình OLED cho các thế hệ iPhone mới. Apple hợp tác với BOE từ năm 2021.
Kế hoạch trên cho thấy nỗ lực của các hãng công nghệ, dẫn đầu bởi Apple và Foxconn, trong việc giảm phụ thuộc vào chuỗi cung ứng tại Trung Quốc. Đặc biệt trong bối cảnh căng thẳng thương mại giữa Bắc Kinh và Washington, cũng như các chính sách phòng dịch của Trung Quốc.
Việt Nam gần đây thu hút khoản đầu tư lớn từ các gã khổng lồ điện tử. Hon Hai Precision Industry và Luxshare Precision Industry cũng có kế hoạch lắp ráp nhiều sản phẩm của Apple tại Việt Nam, như laptop hay máy tính bảng.
